With any item we love and often use, wear and tear is bound to happen.
Jewelry is no exception.
Jewelry is no exception.
Here is how you can keep those special items nice and clean longer!
1. Avoiding Tarnishing
As stated tarnishing is bound to happen with long-term useage but here we will talk about ways to prolong this wear time! First is to avoid any harsh chemicals or cleaners such as chlorine or lotions. I tend to forget to take off my necklaces before showering so learn from my mistakes and take them off! It'll save you a lot of heartache and if you have dyed hair like me you'll avoid possible transferance of color! (specifically with bone pieces)
2. Wearing
With any jewelry peice they have their limits of strength and I try my hardest to keep this in mind when creating my jewelry as I tend to break a lot of my personal jewelry. (handmade or not)
That being said I do not solder my O-rings closed so with enough force they can be pried open. Please be aware and mindful when wearing.
NOTE: If any of my pieces were to ever break on you please send me a message and I will be happy to repair them for you!
3. Cleaning
Now once the piece has tarnished you can soak it in a warm solution of water and mild dish soap for a few minutes. After that you can gentle scrub with a tooth brush any stuck on grime and then gentle pat and lay out to dry.
